the title of this entry was literally referring to the many smells that hung in the cleveland air as beth and i drove home from our radio show last nite at 1:30am. it was a mixture of swamp and armpit and fart and something else weird, and every time one smell would go away another would appear. ANYWAY, the point of the story is, the quote is appropriate because it is literal and figurative in conjunction with my life right now.

things are a little better than they were a week ago, but i'm still bummed. i am trying to get excited about little things. like:

-i got the best napoleon dynamite shirt the other day. it is red and it has a picture of napoleon dancing in the middle inside of a heart. then the shirt says "just listen to your heart. that's what i do." haha. how great is that?

-we had a lot of nice calls and stuff on hot trash last nite. like people calling and saying how much they appreciate the show and what a good job we're doing. it makes me so happy to hear stuff like that. mags emailed us with the nicest thing ever: "I must sound like a broken rekkid to you two, but every week ya always manage to unearth some nugget (way beyond yer years) that just knocks me on my ass. Why in the fucking world is not all of Cleveland tuned into you'all right now?" haha <3

-speaking of mags, there was good and bad news when he wrote to us today and invited us to come see him play a show at cbgbs with his friends, the cyclones. we played some of their songs when mags was on the show with us and they were really good. he even claimed that they wanted to meet us, haha aw. he is seriously one of the nicest guys ever. so when he insisted "i would absolutely love it if you all could come. i'm certain i can get y'all on the guestlist..." i thought to myself, WOW, GREAT! until i noticed the day of the show was the same day we would be in new york at the teengenerate show. UGH! NO FAIR! i wish there was a way to do both. i kinda wanna cry about it. at least when we get to NY for the teengenerate show, mags promised that he and beth would take us to get some "real fuckin' brooklyn pizza." viva la stella!

-this morning, i had a voicemail from my dad asking if i was going to see the ramones at the rockhall. haha he was talking about the free marky ramone show (which i was too tired to go to), but i thought it was really funny and cute that he heard about it and thought to call and tell me about it.

-tomorrow is the immortal lee county killers show and that will probably be fun. friday is the feelers show at craps in da pants, and EVERYONE should attend that because it will DEFINITELY be fun. i can't wait to see my best friend aleks again! he is seriously the best dude ever, he makes me laugh all nite long.

-today while doing a search on the internet for "music surveys," i came across a domain titled "pissypants.com" and a website someone named "poops upside ya head." i was both amused and confused. because music always has so much to do with bodily functions, of course...

so that's what i've got to work with. my boss keeps reminding me that once you hit rock bottom you can only go up. thanks to all the friends that showed concern for me in the past few days.

after hearing the new weezer single today about everyone being on drugs (which was one of the worst songs i have ever heard) and thinking about the news beth told me the other day, i couldn't help but be so disappointed in andrew.
