gosh, a real update has been SO long in the making!

life is busy again. well, not like the world ever stopped spinning the whole summer long, but now that school is back in session i feel like there is a lot more going on. speaking of which, it doesn't look like it is going to be too terrible of a semester this year. our first class is greek mythology, and even though our teacher always looks like she hates her life, the stories we hear about giving birth to children out of your thigh do make up for it. then we have a class about adolescence in literature with our VERY dramatic teacher who looks like an older richie cunningham. we get to read books like "catcher in the rye" and "the adventures of huckelberry finn." then we originally had another awful english class, but on friday we dropped that and added a class about african-american experiences or something. we took it because my brother mike is also in the class (oh yeah, he goes to csu now wheeeeeee) and because the teacher is funny ("i've been to russia. there are no bears.") and doesn't care about attendance so we can go eat pizza in the cafeteria together whenever we want to. so yeah. awesome.

i've been very happy the last month or so. i'm still hanging out with the boy who gave me a sad heart in my last entry, but since that happened things have gotten better and i'm glad neither one of us just gave up. there are still uncertain terms between us, but for the time being that is something that i don't mind. because i am having the best time i've had in three years, no matter WHAT our relationship is currently defined as.

so i guess i am allowed to let the cat out of the bag about something cool. cleveland is actually going to have something exciting going on for once! whenever there is a good rocknroll fest, it is always somewhere else. new york gets dot dash fest every year. chicago gets the blackout. well, now cleveland will have HORRIBLEFEST, a three day rocknroll blowout that will leave you senseless. i even helped get some bands, because i suggested the blowtops, and i talked to the butchers and hillbilly werewolf myself and they both agreed. there are SO many good bands and it will be AMAZING...the feelers, the functional blackouts, the catholic boys, ETC! i totally can't wait. all the details aren't final yet and the webpage isn't even complete, but you should mark these dates on your calendar already anyway and be sure to fucking support this, because it's about time that cleveland deserved something great.

i got my tattoo finished while i was on vacation a couple weeks ago. it is so neat. i think i will just wait and post a bunch of pictures in my next entry, cuz i have ones from shows and such that i wanted to put up. but my arm is real pretty now, and you should see it.

AMY PROPOSED TO MATT!! haha isn't that the cutest thing ever. they are getting married next september, so beth and i only have a year to pick out all the most perfect songs for their wedding. like "losing my religion" by r.e.m. haha, no wait, that is for beths.

vacation was good. beth and i got to spend a lot of time together, something we didn't do for a lot of the summer because we were both so busy. we went to places like the amish country flea market, the harley davidson shop with the old-fashioned dining car inside where you can get burgers and milkshakes, to the bar with my mom/greg the bunny/amy/fil, to record den (as suggested by mags), and for my first trip to SHEETZ. haha. we also went to the zoo on our last day with fil and rosso. beth and i paid for the boys to ride a camel together and they were soooo all about it. haha we had a great time. me and rosso couldn't stop looking at "dub the cub." haha that baby snow leopard cub was the cutest and it wouldn't stop eating the sand in its litterbox and sneezing it all over the place.

hot trash is still ruling. the plastic letters from hollywood, ca played on it last week. it was a blast, those guys are so silly. "OH FART!" also, everyone who's anyone is snatching up a new hot trash tshirt to wear, which i think is very adorable of everyone! i love it a lot. we still have some left, if you are interested.

yesterday, rosso told me i was "the most rocknroll girl he's ever met" and he claimed he has been meaning to tell me for weeks. haha. i decided that was a legacy i would enjoy having. also, beth and i decided that there are really only three things in this world you need to live: LAUGHING, ROCKNROLL and CHEESE. "what about boys?" beth wondered. but i told her heck no. you definitely don't need THAT sort of trouble.

haha thank GOODNESS lonn just im'ed me to tell me about 92.3's "smells like the end" weekend. they are playing all early/mid 90s alternative! haha right now "i alone" by live is on! I LOVE IT! this ruuuuuuuules!

it's saturday nite and i feel just fiiine sittin here in my pajamas. tell me i'm awesome.
